Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Hi there,

We made it safely to our first stop - Sioux Falls, SD. This is just an overnight stop. It took 8.5 hours to get here including lunch and health breaks. The speed limit in Minnesota on I90 is 70 mph and 75mph in South Dakota. Woohoo-we feel the need for speed! Just kidding - we followed the speed limit.

We took the scenic drive through Wisconsin along the Wisconsin River to Prairie du Chien and then followed the Mississippi River north to De Soto where we crossed the river to Lansing, Iowa. We took the Amish scenic route for awhile in Iowa and then crossed into Minnesota to end up on route 90.

Tomorrow, we headp towards Crazy Horse Monument in Custer, SD. On the way we just might stop at the Corn Palace - aw shucks!!
